We are a certified organic distillery in Milwaukee's Bay View neighborhood. In building our distillery and developing our spirits, we evaluated every step with one goal in mind: make it taste great. This means never compromising quality for efficiency. We start with premium organic ingredients, and in small, careful, slow batches, we make spirits that showcase the quality of those ingredients. Currently, we produce Twisted Chai (an all-organic Chai tea liqueur), Twisted Bloody Vodka (a Bloody Mary vodka with herbs, spices, and vinegar - just add tomato juice), Vodka, White Rum, Dark Rum, and Gin. Our whiskey is small-batch and available only at the tasting room. All of our spirits are certified organic and gluten free. Our 40 seat tasting room has an ever-changing menu of unique craft cocktails made entirely from-scratch, in-house. As with our spirits, all of our drinks are hand-crafted with great care to bring you the highest quality drinking experience.

Spent a wonderful Saturday afternoon at Twisted Path tasting their spirit offerings. I found the Bloody Vodka interesting, the gin smooth, and the Chai Liquor unique. Elijah was our server, and he was a wealth of information. Twisted Path is a Milwaukee treasure.

Craft Breweries are sprouting like ignorance & conformity in every state, in every town, across this country and our world and obviously Milwaukee joined this band wagon. They're now all over town. Hey people, a craft brewery isn't a big deal anymore! Holy crap, they're everywhere, like the Gap or Old Navy or Starbucks. Craft breweries are cheap to open and make decent profit. What's the big friggen deal! Enough already!
The Twisted Path Distillery appeared like an oasis in a desert of craft breweries. I abhor conformity and sheep like behavior. Until distilleries attract the same mesmerized hordes, I'll take them over a craft brewery any time. Twisted Path makes a good product. Their vodka is unfiltered and is a "drinking man/woman's vodka. Twisted Path dark rum is a sipping rum, not unlike Pyrat or Diplomatico. Service was informative and knowledgeable by a young woman whose name starts with L. I can't remember, but she knew her stuff. Twisted Path is a fun place to drink and provides a respite from the invasion of the craft breweries. Stop already! I vow to never enter another craft brewery! Enough already! - 43552Nov 11, 2023
This is our favorite drink place in Milwaukee. They use all of their our Liquors and make great drinks. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and have a lot of off the menu drinks that they are willing to test out. Tonight I tried a riff on a Manhattan with their brandy. It was awesome! We recommend if you are looking for unique, great tasting cocktails!

Been coming here for years!! Great spot to stop and get a well crafted, well thought out cocktail. They have a rotating menu but there is always an option for a "dealers choice" and you won't be sorry. The vibes are immaculate. The bartenders are lovely and very personable!

This distillery is quickly becoming one of my favorite places for a cocktail!
Every distillery has their own vodka and whiskey these days, but they go next level with their Bloody Mary Vodka (infused with spices so all you have to add is juice and it is shelf stable), and their Chai Liqueur. These are my two favorite items to buy and keep at home now, especially during the holiday season, the Chai is a fantastic product.
However the bar itself is great. They take into account various flavor profiles, creating distillates and using aromatics to enhance their cocktails. I always look forward to seeing what they have on their menu.
The space itself is beautiful, with vines and their products on the wall, making it a great date spot in the evening with the dimmer lights, or a great spot to get together with friends in the summer with the garage door open.
Let's not forget they also have amazing Mocktails! The Rhubarbra Streisand is always a hit in our group, and its nice to have options for everyone in the group.
Highly recommend a visit to their distillery :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Augie R.Milwaukee, WI1691013413Jul 15, 2023
Nice spot for a cocktail on Milwaukee's south side. The front doors open up wide to let in fresh air on nice days. The cocktail selection is wide and the service is great. I recommend the Bourbon Old Fashioned (if you like a sweeter drink.)

Attractive, dimly-lit cocktail lounge that has amazing drinks and friendly folks behind the bar, making all the drink magic happen. It's a nice space that is quiet enough to have a good conversation but bustling enough to make you feel like you're in a downtown bar without the wall-to-wall crowd. They're also pet friendly and that always wins big points in my book.

I've since learned that outside food is encouraged in the main area. This definitely makes the place more appetizing.
Will be back to enjoy some local eats and great drinks at twisted path.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 10, 2022Previous reviewCool distillery located south Milwaukee/northern bay view.
Drinks: a series of cocktails crafted after their homemade spirits. Focus here really seemed on the spirits they are more proud of(I found these to be the vodkas and rums). You will still find a old fashioned and a few whiskey recipes on the menu. I had the aggressively friendly and my wife had the mango tango. Both tasted very good and I am happy to say it isn't something I could recreate at home(helps to justify paying for an experienced bartender to make the drink). Prices are a bit higher but again it feels justified by the science behind the drink. Some truly experimental stuff was available which made it a cool place.
Food: a lack of food, really only 3-5 snacks. We didn't try them. I didn't ask if outside food was allowed but did not see anyone eating
Service: everyone was quite friendly but the service did take some time. There is one walk up bar space with may bar seats attended by 2 bartenders at the time. When arriving before our tour it was a 10-15 min wait for our drink to be ordered and made (10 min of wait 5 min of mixing). After the tour the place was very busy and the wait was a bit longer. The owner gave the tour himself and his origin story and knowledge of distilling really made it worthwhile.
Other/Atmosphere:
The atmosphere is cool there is a larger seating area than you would think but it does fill up. The decor and natural light from the two large garage type doors (they were open when we went) made the place feel very inviting. The tour was very good for a distillery tour. It felt unscripted and more raw than most yours. The stories and sprinkled jokes felt off the cuff and did not come off as incredibly corny. The tasting room at the end was a little intimate (small) but they are working with what they had. The owner was not afraid to let you try stuff and there is a nice 4$ discount on bottles if you had taken the tour. Plenty of parking and of course in a great neighborhood to go grab something to eat after.
The lack of food and service time made it so I couldn't go 5 stars but I'd definitely be back. The people were pleasant drinks were good and it was an interesting discussion with the staff. - Dec 2, 2021
I came here with my boyfriend to meet up with one of his friends for a couple drinks after the Admirals game.
I was pleasantly surprised by interior design. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting when I walked in, but this place far exceeded my expectations. It is very classy.
They have a nice selection of drinks to choose from. I had the Chai Nog and their Daiquiri. Both of them were excellent! I prefer the Chai Nog over the Daiquiri because that is a little bit closer to my tastes but the Daiquiri was still very good.
If you're looking for an upscale, classy place to get together with some friends or for a date, this is definitely a place to check out!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sophia R.Near North Side, Chicago, IL047Oct 7, 2023
This place is the BEST! Came to Twisted Path tonight as I was hosting a surprise party for my boyfriend, we were able to reserve the private tasting room which was absolutely bomb. The drinks here are great too and the staff is beyond friendly. Absolutely will be coming back time and time again!!! (PS: Try the mango tango, you won't be sorry!)
