Coastal Payroll

This website is difficult to navigate you can't easily go from one page to another it will tell you it's taking several minutes to load. When you login sometimes the pages are completely covered except for a small portion of the corners.
Trying to do something simple like see your payroll history from direct deposit is not an easy task.
I do not recommend this company.

I have been a Coastal Payroll client for 2 years now. Before Coastal, I was with "the other guys" and it was poor service, not cost, that prompted my switch, so I believe I have more than sufficient experience to judge Coastal Payroll, a superior organization for running payroll for an LLC or S-corp. What sets Coastal apart is their concern for their clients. Coastal payroll specialists are always willing to take a call and straighten out an issue or talk through a payroll change and are willing to communicate so that the inevitable changes are made with both the specialist and the client in perfect agreement. For me, two years in, the service I have received has been flawless. If they can do such a good job for a single employee corporation, just think what they would be able to do for a larger organization.

Very bad web deseign with the "new look" update. Nothing works as it should. Very frustrating for all employees that have had to start using this software at our office (including the administrators, they talk more shit about it than the regular emplyees do.) Overall, bad system and bad customer service. 1 out of 10, do not recommend.

This company & its emplkoyees are no doubt the best.
Been with others & i guarantee Coastal cannot be beat.

We have been using Coastal Payroll for quite some time and we just cant say enough good things about their staff and services provided. If you are in need of a great payroll company do yourself a favor and give these guys a try, they are 5 plus stars in our book.

Nothing they promise comes about. Beware of the used car salesman that promises they can deliver but when you're stuck with them, they don't. They are rude and continue to provide substandard service.

They're terrible. They have a mobile app that's substandard and they won't respond to any kind of IT help, do not use this company.

Shirin Golpour is a true angel! I'm not the most technologically savvy and Shirin saved me! She helped me get the correct paperwork together for my small business PPP application. Obviously, I a bit stressed about getting it done - but she was calm and reassuring. She guided me through it with a GoToMeeting and helped decipher exactly what my bank needed.

I can't say enough about her kindness, professionalism and heart-felt sincerity during this process. Crazy times we are living in - and it's so nice to know that there are still people who truly care!

I've been working with Coastal Payroll for 11 years and have moved as many of my clients as possible to this company.

I appreciate that so many of their employees have been there for many years. They are responsive and there is always someone available to answer questions.

I highly recommend adding the HR access to your services. The people in that department are extremely knowledgeable and helpful giving concise explanation and guidance.

This is truly one of the best local San Diego companies anyone could hire!

We have been with Coastal Payroll since 2014, I normally dont like to write bad reviews but they have done nothing but mess up my payroll over and over again! They have either over paid employees and had to ask the employee to pay the company back or over charge my payroll of $100,000 and caused my bank account to be over $60,000 negative causing my business to be severely affected by it. Their way of making it right is to reverse it which would take 4 days or for me to call my bank to see if they can cancel it. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with my bank trying to get it cancelled and they could only help me as much as they could. I have never had so many problems with a payroll company in all the years I have been running a business!
